Inkspirations Sketch Challenge #53

I've been "home alone" for the last 24hrs away- my 1st time in ages and need I tell you that I'm loving it!
I wasted the afternoon yesterday watching some tv etc but last night I conjured up some mojo and played along with the Inkspirations Sketch Challenge (#53).

I absolutely LOVE Perfect Plum - one of my fav Stampin' Up colours!

I embossed the Fifth Avenue Floral rose with 1st. Versamark and 2nd. Perfect Plum ink, then heated Clear Embossing Powder over it. I then sprayed the entire rose with water, and used my Aqua Painter dipped in Perfect Plum ink to lightly spread some colour. I let it dry and it some parts of the petals again to make darker. I then "tizzed" and used some So Saffron ink and Aqua Painter as well. THEN, I sprayed the entire flower with Silver Glimmer Mist and then I stopped before I went too far!!!

'So Glad We're Friends" is embossed with clear embossing powder - to make it "pop"!

Inkspirations Colour Challenge #15

What a glorious pre-Summer day and I've got the sunburn to prove it! In between buying a house and driving the tractor for my dad today, I managed to whip up this simple card for Makeesha Byl's "Colour Challenge" using Chocolate Chip, Really Rust, Close to Cocoa and Very Vanilla! Not my choice of colours so it was even more fun for me to make something out of my normal choice of pinks!!!

The 2 Very-Vanilla squares have been screwed up into a tight ball several times then spread back out again to give a crumbled, "loved" look (as well as the Really Rust strip behind). I have used Close To Cocoa with a Sponge Dauber to gently soften the edges etc and I have clear-embossed the Close To Cocoa birthday greeting. Hope you like it!
