Just Add Ink Challenge 2 "Love Card"

This week, Just Add Ink's challenge was "Just Add Hearts" - and I wanted to make something simple but elegant this time. I originally had Silver Embossed hearts, but I felt the Silver Embossing on Basic Black was more trickier to see, so I stuck with plain silver....tho, I of course could not make a card without embossing, so the sentiment is embossed with Basic Black ink and Clear Embossing power. Also, the hearts have drops of Crystal Effects on them to give them a bit of "touch & feel"!

Ink: Silver Encore, Versa Mark

Just-Add-Ink Colour Challenge 1 Colour Challenge

This is my 1st contribution as a member of the Just-Add-Ink Design Team! Check out this fantastic blog here, if you haven't already!

The colour challenge was to use the following colours:
So Saffron, Taken With Teal, Rose Red, Chocolate Chip and Whisper White.
I love these colours! So fresh looking I reckon! I sort of felt inspired by an piece of Indonesian fabric that I had seen somewhere recently and I am really happy with the result!

I love all embossing but Emboss Resist is another fantastic way to make things "pop"! I used Sponge Daubers to colour each strip making sure there were plenty of dark and lighter patches and then made sure I had wiped off any ink that was on top of the embossing to keep it crisp and white.

Stamps: Razzle Dazzle & Best Yet
Ink: Versamark, So Saffron, Taken With Teal, Rose Red & Chocolate Chip
Card: So Saffron, Taken With Teal, Rose Red, Chocolate Chip & Whisper White
Designer Label Punch, Horizontal Slit Punch, Sponge Daubers, White Embossing Powder, Stampin' Dimensionals & Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon

Me and Why I Do What I Do

First & foremost, I am the mother of a beautiful little princess, Charlotte, who is now 4 yrs old and about to start her 1st year of school (Kindy!) We are VERY excited!
But secondly, I am a passionate stamper & creator of anything from paper! I fell in love with Stampin' Up 3yrs ago when I was invited to a workshop, but at that stage of my life, all I could do was drool over my Catalogue! BUT, now its a different story (as she looks over at her piles and piles of stamp boxes and papers!)

I became a Stampin' Up Demonstator in 2008 and just love being able to share and inspire with my family and friends (my main little follower is my own mum! Thanks mum!).
My all-time fav technique would have to be Embossing! You will probably find it hard to spot a card of mine without Embossing on it! I find it helps make things "pop" - and is perfect for words and quotes etc.
When I'm feeling down or sad, I often go sit and go through all my 12x12s. They make me feel happy and I find it difficult to cut them for the 1st time, but when they're cut, they get used up quick!
I love all that I do and love inspiring and being inspired by so many wonderfully talented stampers out there and no doubt, you're one of them!!!
So, feel free to wander about my blog and of course, please tell me what YOU think!

Razzle Dazzle in Baja Breeze & Pink Pirouette!

Need I say, another "Grandpa" card!!! LOL
Gee, I'm wishing I bought more of the DPS "Parisian Breeze"...I'm going through it like nothing it but its sooooo pretty! Teamed up with Pink Pirouette makes a strikingly pretty combo I reckon!
I have made a "shadow" with the Razzle Dazzle stamp by using Going Grey just next to the Baja Breeze. It really changes the look and gives it a dimension.

Cardstock: Basic Black, Whisper White, Going Grey, Baja Breeze and Pink Pirouette
DPS: Parisian Breeze
Stamps: Razzle Dazzle and On Your Birthday
Word Window Punch, Scallop Edge Punch, Cystal Effects, Flower Fusion Too and non-SU Pearl & black ribbon.

PS.
Can anyone help? I want to change the way my comments are done - so they are "embedded below post" but its saying that embedding cannot be used while "post pages is disabled".
I'm not sure where to go to enable post pages????? Can anyone help?

Bella Rose Birthday

Another card I "whipped" up for my Grandfathers stock
-
a pretty, feminine card I think.

I got the inspiration for the centre part from a card a wonderful friend, Samantha Denman, gave me for Christmas a while back - where she had embossed the quote and then sponged the centre part of the card only - as the ink doesnt stick to the embossed words. Its really pretty and great effect for something different I think. Hope you like!

Mojo Monday Week 120

Here is my card for the Mojo Monday 120 Contest.
I regretfully admit that this is not a SU card this time.....I just couldnt go past this beautiful black and white floral paper that I've been hoarding for some time now, but today was the day to put it to good use! It has a metallic/pearl look, so I chose the same for the white cardstock.

The quote is a rub-on that I found in the bottom of the pile! It feels good, tho, to use up some things that have been unused for so long! Any questions, just ask!

I am off to Melbourne this week for girls few days with my daughter, Charlotte. When I get back, it's going to be time to start thinking about packing and moving into my new home in town and unfortunately, I've been telling myself that will be the time to DE-SIZE with the old craft stock - aggghhh!!!!!! Anyway, hope you like my card!
