Naomi's Birthday Card and Liz's Thank You Card

Ssshhh...this is to be my friend Naomi's Birthday card, but I will give it to her in person when I visit her in a few weeks time in Melbourne.
I have had Pick-A-Petal for a few monthsnow and have wanted it so much but havent even used it yet...so last night was the night! I cased the idea from here. I really love this card - I think it has a real fresh, happy feeling about it. The top leaves are acetate and the stitching is my "fake-stitching" (shh dont tell). The quote is a rub-on that I found amongst my supplies as well as the purple. The green is Certainly Celery. Hope you like!
This one is a Thank You card for my friend Liz with a home-made button courtesy of Danielle Daws fabulous tutorial - you can find that here.

My Craft Area

OMG look what happened!!! Someone broke into my house and turned my ultra-tidy craft area into a shambles!!!!!!! Or...maybe it was me.....I dont know....hmmm............. at least I now exactly where everything is!!!!!
Soon I will have my very own room - where I can shut the door on it all!!! LOL - no, I'll have a cupboard where I can shut just that door!!!

The next pic is a cupboard that I had made for my daughter Charlotte's playfood - but seeing as she got a new fancy play-kitchen, I stole the cupboard to use for my "few" stamps I have....seeing it like this makes me go WOW!

Mojo Monday Week 119

The sketch below is this weeks challenge:
I woke this morning feeling a bit yucky - recovering from the flu and feeling the effects of being a woman...happy happy joy joy!!!! I buried myself in my craft desk and this is what I surfaced with about 2hrs later!

I'm happy with it. I did wonder if paper I should've softened it a bit more with less Chocolate Chip or maybe not the Kraft, but sometimes I think life just isnt always pretty and I think the verse sums that up! Hope you like!
Stamps: Words of Wisdom and Organic Grace
Cardstock: Kraft, Baja Breeze, Whisper White (embossed courtesy of Browny again!) and Chocolate Chip
Designer Paper Series:Parisian Breeze (OMG I love these papers)
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Close To Cocoa

Embellishment Magazine Colour Challenge with Snowflakes

I was so inspired by Danielle Daws card for the Embellish Magazine Challenge, that I decided to give it a go too. This is my first time so thanks Danielle!
The above picture was to be used for our inspiration - using SU's Yo-Yo Yellow, Chocolate Chip, Tempting Turquoise and Kraft and of course incorporating a Snowflake theme. The colours were so hard for me to use - I'm not really into "primary" colours and to me, Yo-Yo Yellow is PRIMARY +, but I am quite happy with the result!

Embossed Whisper White courtesy of the lovely Bronwyn Eastley! Thank you Bronwyn!
Cardstock: Chocolate Brown, Kraft, Tempting Turquoise and Yo-Yo Yellow
Stamps: Sweet Serendipity, Snow Swirled
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Tempting Turquoise, Versa Mark
Glue, Dazzling Diamonds, non-SU bling, and non-SU ribbon, SU twine

Mum's Christmas Present

Introducing one of my mums Christmas presents - ssshhhh - she hasn't received it yet so "mum's the word" ok? LOL - I crack myself up!
It's taken me a while, but I've just cottoned onto covering things with paper (instead of material that I once would've done). So here, I've made mum a craft-pen box/holder/thingy - I showed her the paper the other day and asked her if she liked this paper, she hesitated, so I said "you better like it.....!"...lets hope she likes it!
Also, got to use my Flower Fusion II - that I FINALLY got around to ordering! Love them! Love Baja Breeze!!!

"Memory Is" Notebook

Just had to show you my lastest creation - I have decided to keep this one for myself to record all the cute and funny little things my daughter Charlotte says and does.
The quote on the front says: "Memory is a child walking along a seashore. You can never tell what small pebble it will pick up and store away amongst its treasured things."
This just reminds me of Charlotte so much - she just loves to keep and baby 'rocks' or bird eggs or feathers or even a leaf! She is known to have a piece of wood that poppy gave her, next to her bed, or an old bolt or something! They are her treasured items!!!

Inkspirations Colour Challenge #15

What a glorious pre-Summer day and I've got the sunburn to prove it! In between buying a house and driving the tractor for my dad today, I managed to whip up this simple card for Makeesha Byl's "Colour Challenge" using Chocolate Chip, Really Rust, Close to Cocoa and Very Vanilla! Not my choice of colours so it was even more fun for me to make something out of my normal choice of pinks!!!

The 2 Very-Vanilla squares have been screwed up into a tight ball several times then spread back out again to give a crumbled, "loved" look (as well as the Really Rust strip behind). I have used Close To Cocoa with a Sponge Dauber to gently soften the edges etc and I have clear-embossed the Close To Cocoa birthday greeting. Hope you like it!

I'm On The Road Again!

OK - so an Angel in the form of Bronwyn saved the day today - and pointed me in the right direction with the Blog thing - as I was steering a little to the left - but I'm on track now and can't wait to start listing some cards and things!!! Stay tuned over the next few days!!!

Still no further...

I STILL can't figure out how to put a Blog Background in - I have tried what Bronwyn said but all that does is put a link address on the blog and not the actual Background - sigh - I just dont know what to do next. I dont know how to put the catelogue link (as in the image of the catelogue) so that it shows the cover of catelogue and again not just an address. SIGH. I'm sure it will become easier but at the moment I feel like I'm learning Japanese!!!!! Can anyone help!!!????

My very first posting.

It's way past midnight and I couldnt sleep. I finally decided on my Blog Name and couldn't rest until I actually made my very 1st Blog - so here I am - sitting here in my snuggly dressing gown and slippys listening to my ABC Saturday Night Country music, trying to find my way thru the very new Blog-World. Let's see how I go over the next few days!
